Greetings from Fr.Joseph Oliapram and the parishoners of Razole to you and the Mandriolo. Connected to my last E-mail regarding the “Sunami” and its impact on our costal lines - Our Razole parish has about 35 k.m. of costal line and the entire Amalapuram has 150 K.m Costal line. |
Saluti da Padre Joseph Oliapram e dai parrocchiani di Razole a te e a Mandriolo. Mi riferisco alla mia ultima e–mail relativa allo tsunami ed al suo impatto sulle nostre coste – la nostra parrocchia di Razole ha circa 35 chilometri di coste e l’intera Amalapuram ha 150 chilometri di coste. |
| Along the cost of the Bay of the Bengal hundreds and thousands of families of fishermen are living in Huts. Though in this Sunami only one person from my Karavaka Village had lost his life but the rest are safe. Recently one girl of 9 years old is taken in to our boarding, here, from Andamans for she had lost everything and so her parents had brought her to me. These people were working there in Andamans. Now the most urgent need of the fishermen living in the costal area is Houses Since every year these area are affected by cyclones and this time by Sunami the need of the place is concrete Buildings. | Lungo le coste del Golfo del Bengala centinaia e migliaia di famiglie di pescatori stanno vivendo in capanne. Tuttavia a seguito di questo tsunami solo una persona dal mio villaggio Karavaka ha perso la vita ma le restanti sono salve. Recentemente una ragazza di 9 anni è stata ospitata da noi, qui, da Andamans in quanto ha perso ogni cosa e così i suoi genitori l’hanno portata da me. Questa gente aveva un lavoro là ad Andamans. Ora il bisogno più urgente dei pescatori che vivono nell’area costiera sono le case giacché ogni anno quest’area è soggetta ai cicloni, e questa volta a causa dello tsunami hanno bisogno di costruzioni in cemento. | |
| Now the Government has putout plan for the houses by which the Government gives Rs 20,000/- and the rest of Rs. 30,000/- from other agencies. since there are hundreds and thousands of people are in need of such Houses and by themselves thay are not able to meet the Rs. 30,000/- they are depending on us. So if you can help in this matter the people as well as myself will be greatfull to you all. | Ora il governo ha emesso un piano per le case con cui eroga 20.000 rupie, e il resto di 30.000 rupie da altre agenzie.
