Con esse, insieme a calorosi auguri di Buon Anno e felice anno nuovo 2009, ci arrivano dall’India le ultime notizie relative alle numerose attività portate avanti in quella missione, legate anche al gemellaggio.
In allegato, anche un po’ di prodotti dell’artigianato locale: bigliettini augurali che potremo mettere in vendita di beneficenza.
Il contenuto delle due lettere è in gran parte simile: ne facciamo una traduzione unica.

| During the Christmas Midnight Mass myself and the Boarding children together with the Aged people will pray for you and your loved ones in a special way. Your financial support for the education of the poor Boarding children will be thanked in the presence of Baby Jesus. | Durante la messa di mezzanotte io e i ragazzi insieme agli anziani pregheremo per voi e per i vostri cari in modo speciale. | At this juncture I fold my hands thanking you for everything that you have been to this mission parish through prayer and financial help, particularly with regard to the education of my poor children. I am so happy that they get good education, accommodation, full meal. They express lot of happiness when they pass in the Exams and when they fill their stomach. It gives me lot of happiness and satisfaction. Of course everything is just out of your mere generosity | Continuamente ringrazio nella preghiera voi per tutto ciò che avete fatto per questa parrocchia missionaria attraverso la preghiera e il supporto economico, con particolare riguardo per l’educazione dei fanciulli. Sono così felice che essi possano beneficiare di una buona istruzione, di una buona sistemazione e di pasti caldi. Essi stessi sono molto felici quando superano gli esami e quando possono “riempirsi la pancia”. Ciò mi rende gioioso e soddisfatto. Conducted different competitions specially on Bible and Catechism Sept 7 & 8, 2008: Medical Camp Oct 15 to 31, 2008: Special prayer meeting in view of Holy Rosary month Nov 2 to 15, 2008: We had special prayers in the mission stations for the departed Souls. |
5 sett. 2008: giornata dedicata ai bambini con varie gare anche su Bibbia e catechismo. 7 sett. 2008: campo medico. 15–31 ott. 2008: meeting di preghiera in vista del mese del santo rosario. 2–15 nov. 2008: preghiere speciali nelle “stazioni missionarie” per le anime dei defunti. |

| Here I sincerely acknowledge that the Parishioners of Razole and Boarding children are indebted to all the parishioners of MANDRIOLO. It is just because of your goodness and generosity that the your parishioners come forward to adopt our children. We are coming up in life socially financially and in education. Children are getting good education. We are indebted to you personally. You have supported us and you have encouraged us. I hope the same in future. | Qui sinceramente riconosco che i parrocchiani di Razole e i bambini che ospito sono in debito con i parrocchiani di Mandriolo. Questo a motivo della bontà e generosità che i tuoi parrocchiani hanno mostrato adottando i nostri bambini. Stiamo facendo progressi sia socialmente ed economicamente sia quanto all’educazione dei ragazzi. Ti siamo debitori personalmente. Ci hai aiutati ed incoraggiati.
