Caro Valentino Casarini,
Let me wish you and your family a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. Please convey my Christmas and new Year greetings to Don Giancarlo, his brother priest, the parents and children of Mandriolo Parish. Also in a very special way greets all the supporters of the boarding children. The boarding children and myself are praying everyday for you all and specially during the Christmas Mass.
porgo gli auguri di buon Natale e felice anno nuovo a te ed alla tua famiglia. Trasmetti i miei auguri di Natale e per il nuovo anno a Don Giancarlo, a suo fratello prete, ai genitori ed ai bambini della parrocchia di Mandriolo. Auguri in modo molto speciale anche a coloro che aiutano i bambini da noi ospitati. I bambini ed io preghiamo ogni giorno per voi tutti, specialmente durante la messa di Natale.
Today by 5 pm we start our School Christmas celebrations and it will end by 9 pm. By 9.30 pm we start the Christmas mass which will be attended by about 1000 faithfull. By 11 pm the Mass will be over and then we will have a common meal the by night itself the people will go back to their villages. Then from 26 onwards we will have the village Christmas celebrations.
Oggi alle 17.00 iniziano le celebrazioni natalizie della nostra scuola e termineranno alle 21.00. Alle 21.30 cominceremo la messa di Natale alla quale parteciperanno circa 1000 fedeli. Alle 23.00, terminata la messa, avremo una cena comunitaria, poi la gente farà ritorno ai propri villaggi. Poi dal giorno 26 in avanti avremo le celebrazioni natalizie di villaggio.
I hope by this time you might have received my invitation for the Silver Jubilee of our Parish. Preparations are going on and the final day will be on the 13th of January. The plan is to re-vitalize the faithful. All the catechists of our 17 CONASEEMA parishes together with a number of faithful will participate in this celebrations. To infuse new life into our 65 catechists of our 17 parishes I am planning to provide a bi-cycle, a Bible and a cross with Rosary to them. Here we will see a reflection of the Mandiolo Parish. Though we are separated by thousands of miles a part we are close together by the side of the Cross to hold it high and sing the praises and thanking the Lord.
Io spero che nel frattempo abbiate ricevuto il mio invito per il giubileo d’argento della nostra parrocchia. I preparativi sono in corso ed il giorno finale sarà il 13 gennaio. L’intenzione รจ di ri-animare i fedeli. Tutti i catechisti della 17 parrocchie di Conaseema, insieme con un numero di fedeli, parteciperanno a queste celebrazioni. Per motivare ulteriormente i nostri 65 catechisti delle nostre 17 parrocchie sto pensando di dare loro una bicicletta, una Bibbia e una croce con rosario. Qui noi vedremo un riflesso della parrocchia di Mandriolo. Benché separati da migliaia di miglia, siamo però legati insieme mediante la Croce che teniamo alta cantando le preghiere e ringraziando il Signore.
Indeed our children are reached into majority of your families and they will continue to remain their with their prayers. Let us try to bring more and more people to cross. May the Lord bless all your families and keep all of us together to sing his praises.
Davvero i nostri bambini sono in comunicazione con la maggioranza delle vostre famiglie e lo resteranno con le loro preghiere. Lasciate che cerchiamo di avvicinare sempre più gente alla croce. Possa il Signore benedire tutte le vostre famiglie e mantenere insieme tutti noi per cantare le sue preghiere.
