| come tu sai, da alcuni anni la Parrocchia di Mandriolo fa parte di un'unità pastorale più grande insieme con le Parrocchie di di Mandrio e San Martino, sotto la guida del parroco don Wojciech Darmetko. Mandrio e San Martino non conoscono ancora bene Razole, sicché domenica 10 novembre 2013, a San Martino, nel pomeriggio c'è stato un incontro per ricordare e spiegare a tutti i parrocchiani dell'unità pastorale in cosa consiste e cosa rappresenta il nostro gemellaggio, prima iniziato con Amalapuram (dal 1966), poi proseguito con Razole (dal 1981). | as you know, the Mandriolo Parish has been part, for some years now, of a bigger pastoral unit, together with the St. Martin’s and Mandrio ones, under the guidance of the parish priest, Father Wojciech Darmetko. Mandrio and St. Martin do not yet know well Razole, so last Sunday, November 10 2013, in the afternoon, we held a meeting in St Martin, to remember and explain to all parishioners of the pastoral unit what is and what represents our twinning, we first began with Amalapuram in 1966, then carried on with Razole since 1981. |
| L'incontro aveva un titolo eloquente: "Un cuor solo, un'anima sola". Inizialmente è stato guidato da don Gabriele Carlotti, sacerdote missionario italiano (con esperienza del Brasile, dove è rimasto per 16 anni); egli ci ha ricordato che, come ogni comunità cristiana, anche la nostra unità pastorale è chiamata alla missionarietà; ci ha ricordato l'invito, lasciatoci da Cristo, di andare ad annunciare il Vangelo al mondo, vincendo la tentazione di rinchiuderci in noi stessi, nelle nostre comunità. In questa prospettiva ci ha quindi esortati a perseverare nelle nostre relazioni con l'India, sottolineando l'esigenza che l'intera unità pastorale, con le sue 3 parrocchie, venga sensibilizzata e coinvolta. | The meeting had an eloquent title: "One heart, one soul". It was initially led by Fr Gabriele Carlotti, (an Italian missionary priest with experience of Brazil, where he spent 16 years). He reminded us that, as every Christian community, also our pastoral unity is called to be missionary; he also reminded us of the exhortation, given to us by Christ, to go to preach the gospel to the world, overcoming the temptation to withdraw into ourselves, in our own communities. In this perspective therefore he encouraged us to persevere in our relations with India, stressing the need for the entire pastoral unit, with its 3 parishes, to grow more and more aware and involved. | |
| Dopo abbiamo parlato in modo specifico di Razole. E' difficile descrivere, entro i limiti del poco tempo a disposizione, una storia lunga come quella che si è svolta fra noi in questi lunghi anni. Fortunatamente, però, abbiamo conservato gran parte della corrispondenza intercorsa, soprattutto quella risalente all'inizio del rapporto, quando la missionaria dottoressa Bianca Morelli conobbe la Parrocchia di Mandriolo e le propose la nascita di uno stabile rapporto di amicizia con Amalapuram. Attingendo da tale documentazione - lettere e fotografie - ho cercato di descrivere il nostro gemellaggio, siapure per sommi capi, rievocando il contesto iniziale, gli sviluppi e lo stato attuale, ricordando le figure più importanti che lo hanno reso possibile. | In the second part of our meeting, we talked specifically about Razole. It was hard, within the limits of the short time available to us there, to describe the long history between us during these long years. However, luckily we have preserved much of the correspondence, especially that from the beginning of the relationship, when the missionary Dr. Bianca Morelli knew the Mandriolo parish and suggested the creation of a stable relationship of friendship with Amalapuram. Drawing from these documents - letters and snaps - I tried to describe our twinning albeit briefly, recalling the initial context, the developments and the current state, remembering the most important figures who have made it possible. | |
| La gente presente ha seguito questo incontro con grande interesse ed ha potuto constatare come il continuo sostegno finanziario e spirituale, sempre accompagnato dalla preghiera dei poveri, l'incrollabile fede ed il generoso sacrificio di persone che hanno donato ogni cosa al prossimo, abbiano fatto germogliare il granello gettato nella terra, facendolo crescere meravigliosamente, a gloria del Signore. | The people present at this meeting followed my presentation of our twinning history with great interest and realized how the continued financial and spiritual support, always accompanied by the prayer of the poor, the unwavering faith and the generous sacrifice of donors, did sprout the seeds thrown into the ground, making it grow beautifully, to the glory of the Lord. | |
| I parrocchiani dell'unità pastorale hanno quindi potuto constatare quanta strada abbiamo percorso insieme e sono ora bene al corrente del tuo desiderio di incontrarci qui in Italia. | The pastoral-unit parishioners were thus able to see how far we have come together and are now well aware of your desire to meet us, here in Italy. | |
| Uno degli sforzi che le nostre 3 parrocchie (Mandrio, Mandriolo e San Martino) sono chiamate a compiere consiste nel superare le residue e naturali resistenze che ancora impediscono di aprirsi vicendevolmente e condividere appieno attività, interessi, aspirazioni. Lavorare insieme con slancio missionario potrebbe contribuire molto a realizzare una più autentica unità di cuori e di anime. Razole potrebbe aiutarci e io spero che don Wojciech punti su questo. | One of the efforts that our three parishes (Mandrio, Mandriolo e St Martin) are called to do is to overcome the natural and remaining resistances that still prevent us from fully open to each other and share activities, interests and aspirations. Working together with missionary zeal could contribute toward a more authentic unity of hearts and souls. Razole could help and I hope that Fr Wojciech counts on this. | |
| Venendo a cose contingenti, nei prossimi giorni riprenderò il lavoro delle adozioni riproponendo agli offerenti di donare le quote per l'anno 2014. Tu sai che il nostro Paese, fino a pochi anni fa considerato benestante, ora versa in pessime condizioni economiche e non ha concrete prospettive di sviluppo. Questo potrebbe frenare il rinnovo delle attuali 60 adozioni attive. Vedremo. Tu, intanto, inviami quanto prima i saluti e le foto dei bambini. Spero che mi arrivino in tempo per poterle recapitare agli interessati insieme con l’invito a rinnovare le sottoscrizioni per l’anno prossimo. | Coming to contingent things, in the coming days I will take up the work of adoptions to tenderers, proposing to donate the usual shares for the year 2014. You know that our country, considered wealthy until a few years ago, is now going through a very deep economic recession and has no real prospects for development. This could slow down the renewal of the current 60 active adoptions. We'll see how this collection goes. Meanwhile, please send me as soon as the greetings and photos of children. Hope they arrive to me in time to deliver them to the recipients, together with the invitation to renew subscriptions for next year. | |
